Thank you for coming to ReaganGothic.com. The purpose of this website is to petition Congress to pass legislation that will forever enshrine Ronald Wilson Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, on Grant Wood’s classic painting “American Gothic.”

Why Ronald Reagan?
As the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan reinvigorated America’s patriotism, bringing a new sense of optimism to a country suffering from hard times and a national “malaise.” By cutting taxes, he began a period of unprecedented economic growth. But most importantly, his policies brought down the Soviet Union, thus ending the Cold War without a single shot being fired. There is little doubt that Reagan ranks as one of the greatest American presidents of all time, and almost certainly the greatest of the 20th Century.
Why “American Gothic”?
Like Ronald Reagan, Grant Wood’s timeless “American Gothic” is a priceless piece of American history. Painted in 1930, the painting depicts an elderly farmer and his daughter in front of a white house. After its initial exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago, the painting became an instant classic, receiving widespread publicity in newspapers across the country. “American Gothic” represents a glorification of the moral virtue of rural America. No one exemplified moral virtue more than Ronald Reagan. Merging these two symbols of American greatness would be a fitting tribute to President Reagan’s memory.

HR outsourcing companies generally concentrate on finding ways to streamline and coordinate the processes of the human resource departments within an organization. A good HR outsourcing company will always help the Houston HR employer to improve the productivity of their human resource department. Hiring a full-time employee will increase your payroll costs and this is not the case when you use a Hiring team.

In order to select the right HR outsourcing Houston firm, you must first identify what is important to your company. Will the company focus on finding ways to streamline your employees or will they be seeking ways to improve your organization? An organization that is dedicated to streamlining the working procedures of its employees will have many options. An HR company will be able to find ways to simplify the administration of payroll for an organization.

Why Alter a Famous Piece of Artwork?
I recognize that this is definitely a valid question. After all, there are plenty of other opportunities to honor Reagan. There has already been talk of placing him on Mt. Rushmore, but unfortunately it appears that it might not be geologically possible. Adding President Reagan to “American Gothic” would put him on an equally revered piece of American art.

American Gothic’s current incarnation has been thoroughly documented and reproduced. It     appears in books, posters, documentaries, websites, etc.. Grant Wood’s original vision will never be lost to the ages. But as sad as it is, no actual painting is ever permanent. The long decay of time, paired with constant restorations, have made classics such as the Mona Lisa and Michelangelo’s David mere echoes of their original selves. Adding Ronald Reagan to “American Gothic” will add a whole new patriotic dimension to an already-classic painting, and give it a whole new life.
